# Overview

> Open due diligence cases, request upload URLs, publish offers, and poll the case state.

Use the due diligence endpoints to create the case, upload supporting material in a second step, publish the credit offer, and poll the case until it reaches a terminal state.

## Recommended Client Flow

1. Call `POST /due-diligence/init` to open the case and receive `due_diligence_id` plus `contracts_preview`.
2. Call `POST /due-diligence/{due_diligence_id}/uploads` to request presigned upload URLs for the statement files you need to send.
3. Upload the files to the returned URLs.
4. Poll `GET /due-diligence/{due_diligence_id}` while the case is being processed.
5. Call `POST /due-diligence/{due_diligence_id}/credit-offer` when you are ready to publish the commercial terms.
6. Continue polling `GET /due-diligence/{due_diligence_id}` until the case reaches `SIGNED` or another terminal state.

## Important Behavior

* Upload URLs are requested separately from case creation.
* The detail endpoint is the client-facing status surface for the case.
* Signature confirmation is not performed through a client API endpoint. Signers complete that step through emailed links sent after the credit offer is published.

## Endpoints In This Section

* `POST /due-diligence/init`
* `POST /due-diligence/{due_diligence_id}/uploads`
* `GET /due-diligence/{due_diligence_id}`
* `POST /due-diligence/{due_diligence_id}/credit-offer`
