# Overview

> How clients exchange issued headers for a bearer token.

Send the issued client credentials in headers to obtain the bearer token used by the rest of the published client API.

## Standard Flow

1. Obtain `X-Client-Id` and `X-Client-Secret` from SVRN.
2. Exchange those credentials with `POST /auth`.
3. Send the returned bearer token on every subsequent published client request.

## Token Model

* The API returns a bearer token plus an `expires_in` value.
* Tokens in the current contract expire after 10,800 seconds.
* `POST /auth` does not use a JSON body for credentials.

## Endpoints In This Section

* `POST /auth` for token issuance.

## Header Example

```bash theme={null}
curl -X POST https://api.sandbox.svrn.digital/auth \
  -H "X-Client-Id: 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000" \
  -H "X-Client-Secret: your-issued-secret"
```
